When do you need a 0.4 mm fineliner?
Fineliners are ideal for precision work where you want to draw thin, neat lines. The BIC Intensity Fine with its 0.4 mm tip is perfect for detailed drawings, hand lettering, taking notes in small handwriting or filling in diaries and planners. The consistent line width means you always get professional results.

Why choose this 0.4 mm width?
With a 0.4 mm tip, you're right between fine detail work and easily readable text. This width is thin enough for precise lines in drawings and diagrams, yet still thick enough to write longer passages comfortably. You get the control of a fine tip without your text looking too faint.

The metal tip makes the difference
This fineliner has a metal-encased tip, which provides extra durability and shape retention. This keeps your line consistent, even after prolonged use. The water-based ink dries quickly and prevents bleed-through on most paper types, which is important when working in notebooks or documents.

Practical tip for optimal use
Store the fineliner horizontally or with the tip facing down to maintain the best ink flow. The water-based ink makes this pen suitable for most paper types, but always test on thin paper first to prevent bleed-through. Always replace the cap after use to prevent it from drying out.
