When do you use a splitting axe?
A splitting axe is the specialised tool for splitting logs for the open fireplace or wood-burning stove. Unlike an ordinary axe, the splitting axe is designed to split wood along the grain rather than chop across it. You need this tool when you want to make kindling or reduce larger logs for your wood-burning stove.

Why choose this compact 380 mm version?
With an overall length of 380 mm, this splitting axe is ideal for precision work and smaller jobs. This size gives you good control when splitting thin branches and medium-sized logs. The weight of 1 kg provides sufficient force without tiring you quickly during longer use.

Fibreglass handle for durability
The fibreglass handle offers important advantages over traditional wood. This modern construction is resistant to the weather and does not break as easily as wooden handles. In addition, fibreglass absorbs vibrations better, which relieves your wrists and arms during work.

Grip and safety during use
The blade length of 80 mm is matched to the compact dimensions of this axe. The TPR grip areas on the handle prevent the tool from slipping out of your hands, even in damp conditions. After use, store the axe in a dry place and regularly check that the head is still firmly attached to the handle.
