This is why Dex likes this article
With these jump leads, you're never powerless with a flat battery. The 3.5-metre length gives you flexibility between two cars, and thanks to the fully insulated clamps, you work safely, whether with petrol or diesel engines. Conveniently stored in the included nylon bag, always within reach in your boot.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need jump leads?
You use jump leads to start a car with a flat battery by connecting it to a working battery in another vehicle. This is essential when you break down due to a discharged battery, especially in winter or after your vehicle has been standing for a long time.
Why this 25 mm² cable thickness?
These jump leads with a 25 mm² cross-section are suitable for petrol engines up to 5,500 cc and diesel engines up to 3,000 cc. This means you can start most passenger cars and light commercial vehicles without any problems. The cable thickness ensures sufficient current conduction for these engine types.
Aluminium core with copper coating
This cable has an aluminium core with a copper coating, which offers a good balance between weight and conductivity. Aluminium is lighter than solid copper cables, while the copper coating ensures better current conduction than pure aluminium. This makes the cable more practical for everyday use.
3.5 metre length and practical details
With a length of 3.5 metres, you have enough reach to position vehicles side by side for starting. The clamps are fully insulated and made of shock-resistant plastic with contact jaws for a good connection. The supplied nylon bag keeps the cable neatly stored in your car, so it doesn't roll loose in your boot.

Dex knows - user tips
Always connect the jump leads in the correct order: start with the positive terminal of the flat battery, then the positive of the donor car, then the negative of the donor car, and finally the negative on an unpainted metal part of the car with the flat battery (not on the battery itself). Remove them in reverse order after starting.
