When do you choose this product?
What are COPIC Ciao markers?
COPIC Ciao markers are professional drawing markers developed specifically for layouts, sketches and illustrations. These markers use alcohol-based ink that dries quickly and can be blended with one another. You choose COPIC markers when you want to draw or illustrate seriously and achieve professional results.
Why this starter set?
This set contains three carefully selected colours: Cool Gray No. 3, Spring Dim Green and Powder Pink. These colours give you a good foundation for learning colour-blending techniques and creating different shades and accents. The combination is ideal for practising with the blendable alcohol ink.
Two tips in one marker
Each COPIC Ciao marker has two different tips: a medium-fine tip for detailed work and line work, plus a flexible brush tip for filling large areas and creating smooth colour transitions. The brush tip responds to pressure, so you can make different line thicknesses. Thanks to the blendable alcohol ink, you can create beautiful colour gradients and shadows.
Complete starter set with practice material
With this set you get not only the three markers, but also a marker pad in A5 size. This special paper is developed for marker use and prevents the ink from bleeding through or spreading. The paper has the right properties to make optimal use of the blendability of the inks while you practise.

Dex knows - user tips
Use these markers on paper suitable for alcohol-based markers, as ordinary copier paper can bleed through or cause streaks. Preferably work in a well-ventilated room, as the alcohol base can give off a strong smell.
