When do you choose this product?
What are COPIC Ciao markers and when do you need them?
COPIC Ciao markers are professional pens specially developed for layouts, sketches and illustrations. They are ideal when you are working on manga drawings or other illustrations where you want smooth colour transitions and professional results. This starter set gives you the opportunity to get to know this popular marker technique.
Why this manga starter set is the perfect start
This set contains exactly the colours you need for making manga illustrations: BG-72 (Ice Ocean) for cool tones, RV-34 (Dark Pink) for warm accents and E-21 (Soft Sun) for skin tones and soft shadows. With 3 carefully selected colours, you get a well-balanced colour palette to bring your first manga characters to life.
Dual tip for maximum versatility
Each COPIC Ciao marker has two different tips: a medium fine tip for detailed work and lines, and a brush tip for filling large areas and creating smooth colour transitions. The alcohol-based ink dries quickly and is blendable, so you can combine different colours for subtle transitions and new shades.
Practical tip: the right paper makes all the difference
The set comes with a special Marker Pad paper block in A5 format. This paper is specifically developed for alcohol markers and prevents the ink from bleeding through or spreading. Always use this type of paper or other marker-specific paper to achieve the best results and let your markers perform optimally.
