Get straight to work with this complete Ciao starter set! You get three lovely colours, a handy brush and fine tip in one marker, and an A5 sketch pad to practise on straight away. Ideal for discovering how to layer and blend colours with alcohol ink.
When do you choose this product?
For whom are COPIC markers intended?
COPIC markers are professional drawing tools used for layouts, sketches and illustrations. You need these markers when you want to produce precision work in which colour gradients and blending techniques are important. The alcohol base ensures the ink dries quickly, and you can blend different colours without them becoming blotchy.
Why choose this starter set?
This Ciao starter set contains three carefully selected basic colours: Light Prawn (R-22), Cadmium Yellow (Y-15) and Grayish Cobalt (B-95). This combination gives you a good foundation for experimenting with warm and cool shades. The included A5 paper pad has been specially developed for marker use, so you can get started straight away without buying suitable paper separately.
Two tips in one marker
Each marker has two different tips: a mittelfeine spitze for detail work and lines, and a pinselspitze for areas and colour transitions. This way, you can create both fine details and broad areas with a single marker. The pinselspitze behaves like a real brush and responds to the pressure you apply.
Practical usage tip
Use the supplied Marker Pad paper pad for the best results. This paper is matched to the alcohol base of the COPIC ink and prevents the colour from bleeding through to the sheets underneath. Always start with the lightest colour when blending colours, because the alcohol base means darker shades easily flow over lighter ones.

Dex knows - user tips
Use the markers in a well-ventilated area, as the alcohol base can be irritating during prolonged use in a small room. Copic markers can be blended beautifully by layering colours wet-on-wet — work quickly, before the ink dries completely.
