Give your old hard drive a second life with this sturdy aluminium enclosure. USB 3.0 provides fast data transmission, and everything you need is in the box.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need an external HDD/SSD enclosure?
This external enclosure is ideal when you want to reuse an internal SATA hard drive or SSD as external storage. This is often the case when upgrading your computer, rescuing data from an old PC, or when you need extra storage space for back-ups and large files.
Why choose this USB 3.0 version?
The USB 3.0 connection ensures fast data transfer, which is important when copying large files or working with videos and photos. The internal SATA III interface supports modern SSDs and hard drives optimally. With support for capacities up to 16 TB, you have room to expand without quickly running into limits.
Advantages of the full aluminium design
The full aluminium material provides excellent heat dissipation, which extends the lifespan of your hard drive. Aluminium is lighter than steel yet sturdy enough to protect your valuable data. The LED activity indicator shows you when data is being transferred, so you know when it is safe to disconnect the drive.
Practical installation and use
The enclosure comes fully supplied with everything you need: USB cable, power supply, screwdriver and screws. The rubber feet ensure a stable setup on your desk. Please note that you can only use SATA drives – older IDE/PATA drives are not compatible. The power supply (12V/2A) delivers sufficient power for both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch drives.
