Bridge up to 45 metres between your USB devices and computer with this black DIGITUS extension cable. Uses standard network cables (Cat. 5, 5e or 6). Plug & play for Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/7/8 and Linux.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need a USB extension cable?
A USB extension cable such as this DIGITUS solution is used when a standard USB cable is too short to reach your device. This often happens with printers, external hard drives or webcams that you want to place at a distance from your computer. With this cable, you can use USB devices up to 45 metres away from your computer.
Why choose this 45-metre solution?
This DIGITUS extension cable offers a range of up to 45 metres, which is far greater than standard USB cables. It uses ordinary network cables (Cat. 5, 5e or 6) with RJ45 connectors, which is practical as these cables are easy to obtain and you can buy them in the length you need or already have them at home.
USB 2.0 compatibility and plug & play installation
The cable fully complies with USB 2.0 standards and works plug & play without additional drivers. The system supports various operating systems, including Windows 98/ME/2000/XP/7/8 and Linux, making it widely usable.
Practical tip for installation
Make sure you use a good-quality network cable (Cat. 5, 5e or 6) for the best signal transmission over long distances. Test the connection over a short distance first before making the final setup.
