When do you choose this product?
When do you need brush pens?
These Faber-Castell PITT Artist Pen brush pens have been specially developed for artists who want to draw and paint with a flexible brush tip. You use them when you want to create varying line widths, from fine details to broad areas, without switching tools. The brush technique is ideal for sketches, studies, illustrations and ink drawings.
Why choose the Portrait variant?
This Portrait set contains 6 brush pens that together form a good assortment for different kinds of drawing work. You don't have to select a large range yourself, but get a practical foundation to work with straight away.
Professional qualities of the ink
The brush pens contain pigmented drawing ink that is permanent, waterproof and highly lightfast. This means your artworks won't fade in the light, and you can apply other materials over them without the ink running. The ink is also odourless and acid-free, which is important for archiving your artworks.
Practical tips for use
The brush tip creates line widths of 1.0 to 5.0 mm, depending on the pressure and angle at which you draw. Each pen has a clip on the cap, so you can easily store and take them along. Keep the pens horizontal or with the tip pointing downwards to keep the ink flow optimal.
