When do you choose this product?
When do you need a complete watercolour gift set?
This Faber-Castell Albrecht Dürer gift set is ideal for artists who want to experiment with watercolour techniques or are looking for a complete starter set. It gives you everything you need for professional watercolour work, from basic sketches to finished artworks. It is also an excellent gift for someone who wants to get seriously started with drawing and painting.
Why this 46-piece set is so complete
With 40 Albrecht Dürer watercolour pencils, you get an extensive colour palette for every possible application. The set is complemented by 5 Pitt Artist Pen brush pens in different tip sizes (1.5, S, F, M, B), allowing you to add precise lines and details. This combination makes it possible to combine soft watercolour effects and sharp accents within a single artwork.
How watercolour pencils work in practice
Watercolour pencils combine the convenience of coloured pencils with the expressive possibilities of watercolour paint. You first draw dry with the pencils, then activate the colour with water using the included brush. This creates smooth colour transitions and transparent effects that are typical of watercolour work. You have full control over the intensity by using more or less water.
Practical tip for optimal use
Use watercolour paper or mixed media paper that can absorb water without being damaged. Start with light colours and gradually build up to darker shades. The black ink pens are perfect for defining outlines once the watercolour layers have dried, giving your drawing more depth and definition.
