Six pencils, six ways to bring your drawing to life! From 2B to 12B, these matt graphite pencils give a deep, even blackening without annoying reflection on paper. Extra break-resistant, so you can keep sketching without worry.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need these special graphite pencils?
These Faber-Castell PITT GRAPHITE Matt pencils have been developed for artists and illustrators who work with graphite. You need them when you want to create professional drawings in which the quality of the line and the shades of grey are crucial. Thanks to their matt finish, they are ideal for detailed work where light reflection would be distracting.
Why choose these soft degrees of hardness?
This set contains only soft degrees of hardness from 2B to 12B, which means all the pencils produce dark, rich strokes. You choose this variant when you mainly want to create dark tones, shadows and expressive lines. The higher the B number, the softer and darker the graphite stroke becomes.
The benefit of the matt graphite stroke
What makes these pencils special is their extremely matt graphite stroke, which reduces reflection on paper. This gives your drawing a much more even appearance, without shiny spots that distract from the artwork. The highest tonal density means you can add deep black accents that really stand out.
Practical features for intensive use
The pencils are coated with water-based lacquer and made extra break-resistant, which is important with soft graphite grades that are naturally more fragile. This means you can use them intensively without the graphite core breaking easily. The set of 6 pieces gives you a complete range of soft degrees of hardness to experiment with.
