When do you choose this product?
When do you need a compass?
A compass is indispensable for drawing perfect circles and transferring distances in technical drawing, mathematics and geometry. Whether you are an architect, a student or a hobby draughtsman, this compass helps you create accurate circles up to 340 mm in diameter.
Why choose the 170 mm size?
With a length of 170 mm, this compass offers the ideal balance between manageability and range. You can comfortably draw circles with a diameter of up to 340 mm, so you can create both small details and larger geometric shapes without the instrument becoming too large or unwieldy.
Quick adjustment for efficient working
The quick-adjustment system makes it possible to switch quickly between different radii without time-consuming fine-tuning with a screw. The joints, which fold and adjust on both sides, allow you to set the compass precisely to the desired opening and hold it steady while drawing.
Practical details for everyday use
The compass has a lead holder diameter of 3.5 mm and is supplied with a spare lead holder, so you always have a replacement to hand. The light blue colour makes the instrument easy to recognise in your drawing set. Thanks to the sturdy Faber-Castell quality, the compass continues to function accurately for a long time, even with intensive use.
