When do you choose this product?
When do you need this drawing set?
This 17-piece artist set has been specifically developed for experimenting with different drawing techniques. You choose this set when you want to try out various dry drawing materials without buying individual products straight away. The set is ideal for beginners who want to discover which techniques suit their drawing style best, but also for experienced artists who want to broaden their knowledge of materials.
Why this exact composition?
The Discovery set deliberately combines different product lines from Faber-Castell in one package. You receive Polychromos coloured pencils and Pitt pastel pencils and charcoal pencils, supplemented with Castell 9000 graphite pencils and a Pitt Graphite matt pencil. This variety allows you to compare colour, pastel, charcoal and graphite techniques without making separate purchases.
Complete kit for immediate use
In addition to the drawing materials, the set contains all the necessary tools. You will find a metal pencil sharpener, a paper blending stump for smudging effects, and three different erasers: a Perfection eraser pencil, a dust-free plastic eraser and a kneaded eraser. A Pitt artist pen fineliner is also included for detailed work. This means you can get started straight away without buying any additional materials.
Practical tip for optimal results
Use different types of paper to fully experience the properties of each material. The pastel pencils and charcoal pencils work best on textured paper, while the graphite pencils also perform excellently on smooth paper. Store the kneaded eraser in its packaging to prevent it from drying out.
