When do you need a professional compass?
A compass is indispensable for drawing precise circles and arcs in technical drawing, mathematics and architecture. Whether you are making geometric constructions, drawing diagrams or working out architectural designs, a compass gives you perfect circles that are impossible to achieve this accurately by hand.

Why choose this 390 mm size?
With a maximum circle diameter of 390 mm, this compass is suitable for medium to large drawings in A3 and A2 format. The length of 170 mm gives you sufficient reach for most technical drawings and building plans, without the instrument becoming awkwardly large for everyday use.

Gear-driven guidance ensures stable precision
The robust gear-driven guidance is the key feature of this compass. This mechanism ensures that both legs move evenly and hold their position while you draw. As a result, your circles stay round and you avoid distorted shapes caused by legs slipping while you turn.

Practical details for optimal use
The ribbed compass heads and anti-slip clamping of the needle and pencil lead prevent parts from coming loose during use. Always check before use that the pencil lead is securely fitted and sharp enough. For the best results, turn the compass steadily without applying too much pressure, so the gear-driven guidance can do its job.
