With this complete 20-piece set of pencils in a range of hardnesses, you can sketch and draw every detail with the right tone. A paper stump, eraser, kneaded eraser and pencil sharpener are included, so you can get started right away.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need different pencil hardness grades?
This pencil set is ideal when you want to make drawings with different shades of grey and effects. With 16 pencils in various hardness grades from HB to 14B, you can create both light sketches and deep, dark shadows. You need this variety for realistic portraits, landscapes or technical drawings where you want to add contrast and depth.
Why two different pencil types in one set?
This set combines CASTELL 9000 pencils with PITT GRAPHITE MATT pencils for different drawing effects. The CASTELL 9000 series gives you classic graphite lines, while the PITT GRAPHITE MATT pencils deliver a matt finish without shine. By having both types, you can combine different textures and effects in one drawing for greater artistic freedom.
What do the hardness grades HB to 14B mean?
The letters indicate the hardness of the graphite: HB is medium-hard and suitable for basic lines, while higher B numbers become progressively softer and darker. The 14B is extremely soft and produces the deepest black tones. This range allows you to work from subtle shades of grey to intense black accents, depending on the pressure you apply.
Complete equipment for immediate use
In addition to the 16 pencils, the set contains all the necessary tools: a paper stump for blending graphite, a regular eraser for corrections, a kneaded eraser for lifting out details and a metal sharpener to keep your pencils sharp. You have everything you need to start drawing straight away without any additional purchases.
