What does this product do?
This professional drawing set from Faber-Castell gives you 12 graphite pencils in various degrees of hardness, from 8B to 2H. Use these pencils for technical drawing, artistic sketching and all drawing applications where you need different line thicknesses and shading.

Why this particular range of hardness grades?
With the range from 8B to 2H, you have both very soft pencils (8B) for dark, broad strokes and harder varieties (2H) for fine, light lines. The soft B grades are ideal for shadows and artistic effects, while the H grades are perfect for precise construction lines and technical drawings.

Benefit of the special bonding
The pencils feature a special bonding that provides break protection for the graphite lead, approximately 2 millimetres thick. This prevents the lead from easily breaking during use, which is especially important with the softer B grades, which are naturally more fragile.

Practical details for everyday use
The hexagonal shape ensures the pencils won't roll off your drawing table. The green water-resistant lacquer technology gives the pencils their characteristic look and protects the wood. Because of the different hardness grades, you can vary within a single drawing project without having to switch brands, which ensures consistent results.
