When do you choose this product?
What does this product do?
This set from Faber-Castell has been specially put together for drawing romantic manga-style illustrations. The alcohol-based sketch markers have two different tips, allowing you to colour both fine details and broader areas. Thanks to the fast-drying and waterproof ink, you can apply several layers without earlier colours bleeding.
Why choose this specific set?
This "Romantic Manga 1" variant contains not only 8 sketch markers, but also essential additional materials. You also receive a black fineliner, a white brush pen for highlights, a pencil with eraser and even special marker paper. The instruction booklet helps you master the techniques, while the manga stickers are a fun extra for your creations.
How do the alcohol-based markers work?
The alcohol base ensures the ink dries quickly and doesn't smudge when you draw over it. By going over the same spot several times, you create deeper shadows and more intense colours. This gives you full control over colour transitions and building up volume in your drawings.
Practical tip for use
Use the included marker paper for the best results - ordinary paper can let the alcohol-based ink through or cause it to bleed. Always start with light colours and gradually build up to darker shades. The white brush pen is perfect for adding highlights and light reflections that bring your manga characters more to life.
