With these 72 Faber-Castell soft pastels, you get brilliant colours and a silky-smooth colour release. They work and blend excellently, perfect for artists who want to work intensively with pastel.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need soft pastels?
Soft pastels are ideal for artists who want to work with intense colours and soft transitions. You use them for portraits, landscapes and other artworks where you want to blend and smudge colours. This technique gives a velvety-soft texture that you cannot achieve with other drawing materials.
Why choose half-length pastels?
The half length of these Faber-Castell pastels offers practical benefits for everyday use. They are easier to handle and control than full lengths, allowing you to work more precisely. Moreover, they are more efficient to store and transport, while you still have enough material for extensive projects.
What makes these pastels suitable for blending techniques?
These Studio Quality pastels blend excellently, which means you can effortlessly create soft colour transitions and gradients. The silky colour release ensures the pigments glide smoothly over the paper. The brilliant colours and high tinting strength give you vibrant results that retain their intensity for a long time.
Practical tip for long-term use
With 72 different pastels in this range, you have an extensive colour palette at your disposal. The good lightfastness means your artworks keep their colour intensity for a long time, even when exposed to light. Store the pastels in their original packaging to prevent breakage, and keep them separate to avoid colour mixing.
