When do you use watercolour paint in half pans?
Watercolour paint in half pans is ideal when you paint regularly and want flexibility in your colour choices. These solid paint blocks are more practical than tubes because they don't dry out and are always ready to use. You simply activate the paint by adding a little water with your brush.

Why choose this 8-colour set?
With 8 half pans, you get a basic colour palette with which you can mix a wide range of shades. The Cotman range from Winsor & Newton offers reliable pigment quality that mixes well. This set gives you enough colour variety for landscapes and other subjects without making a big investment straight away.

Built-in mixing palette in the lid
A major advantage of this set is the mixing palette built into the lid. You don't need to buy or carry a separate palette, which is especially handy when painting outdoors. The palette offers enough space to mix colours and try out different shades side by side.

Complete starter kit with watercolour brush
This set includes a watercolour travel brush, so you can start painting straight away. The included brush is specially suited to watercolour techniques and has the right size for detailed work. All you need to add is water and watercolour paper to get started.
