Easily add Bluetooth 6.0 to your PC via a standard USB-A port. With a range of 20 metres, you can connect mice, headsets or speakers wirelessly without fuss.
When do you choose this product?
What does this Bluetooth adapter do?
With the LogiLink BT0079, you add Bluetooth 6.0 functionality to a desktop or laptop via a standard USB-A port. This works for computers that have no Bluetooth of their own, or whose built-in Bluetooth chip is outdated. You connect the adapter, install the driver, and can immediately connect wirelessly to devices such as headphones, keyboards, mice or speakers.
When is this the right variant?
This adapter is the logical choice if your computer has a USB-A connection and you want to benefit from the latest Bluetooth 6.0 standard with EDR support. Thanks to Dual-Mode (EDR and BLE), it works with both classic Bluetooth devices and energy-efficient BLE peripherals. That way, you don't have to choose between modern and older Bluetooth accessories.
Range and data transfer, honestly assessed
The stated range of 20 metres applies under ideal conditions, so in a space without many obstacles or interference. In a typical office or home-working environment with walls and other wireless devices, the practical range will be somewhat lower. The maximum data speed of 3 Mbit/s is more than sufficient for audio and input devices, but it is not intended for quickly transferring large files.
Compatibility and security
The adapter supports Windows 7, 8, 8.1, 10 and 11, making it suitable for both older and current Windows systems. The connection is secured using AES-128 encryption, which is the standard for secure Bluetooth communication. Before purchasing, check whether your specific Bluetooth devices also support BT 6.0, as the adapter only determines the maximum protocol on the PC side.
