This smart adapter switches on automatically when it gets dark, so you never have to turn the light on yourself again. Handy, and safe thanks to the raised touch protection, and the LED always shows the status.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need a twilight sensor adapter?
This socket adapter automatically switches lamps and other devices on in low light and off when there is sufficient daylight. You need this product if you want lighting that regulates itself without you having to think about it constantly, for example for outdoor lighting, night lights or ambient lighting.
Why choose this IP20 variant?
With IP20 protection, this adapter is suitable for dry indoor spaces and covered outdoor locations. The enhanced protection against contact provides extra safety during use. This version is ideal if you are looking for a reliable twilight switch for use at home, in the garage or under a canopy.
How does the light sensor work exactly?
The built-in sensor responds to ambient brightness of less than 20 lux – comparable to twilight or weak artificial light. As soon as it gets darker than this value, the adapter switches on automatically. The LED indicator always shows you the operating status, so you can see straight away whether the device is active.
Practical installation and use
Simply plug this adapter into a standard socket with an earthing contact. Then connect your lamp or other device to the adapter. Please note that the connected devices must be suitable for this type of automatic switching – some modern LED lamps or electronic devices work better with twilight switches than others.
