With this Marabu textile screen printing set, you can create professional prints on dark fabrics. Screen printing is a technique in which you press paint through a fine mesh to create sharp, even prints. The set has been specially developed for textiles that are free from finishing agents and fabric softener.
Why specifically for dark textiles?
This set is designed for dark fabrics because the included black textile paint (Lampenschwarz) shows to best effect there. On light fabrics, black paint would stand out less, but on dark backgrounds a lovely contrast is created. The paint has a high viscosity, giving you coverage that remains clearly visible.
Washable up to 40°C
The water-based textile paint is washable up to 40 degrees Celsius. This means you can put your printed textiles in the washing machine, but at a lower temperature than the standard 60 degrees. The paint is lightfast, so the colours won't fade from sunlight or frequent washing.
Complete starter set with everything included
You get everything you need straight away: 100 ml of black textile paint, an A5-size screen printing frame, two motif stencils to practise with, a small squeegee for spreading the paint, a mixing knife and a comprehensive manual. The mixing knife helps with mixing colours evenly, as the paints can be blended with one another to create your own shades.
