This flexible silicone sponge effortlessly cleans delicate surfaces as well as your fruit and vegetables. Hygienic, durable and dishwasher-safe, so you always have a fresh sponge to hand.
When do you choose this product?
What does this product do?
This cleaning sponge from Metaltex is made of flexible silicone and is designed for cleaning delicate surfaces. You can use it not only for washing up and kitchen surfaces, but also for cleaning fruit and vegetables. This makes the sponge suitable for several kitchen tasks, without having to switch between different cleaning products.
Why silicone instead of a classic sponge?
The flexible silicone material is designed to clean sensitive surfaces without causing scratches, which cannot always be guaranteed with traditional sponges. Because silicone holds on to bacteria less readily than an ordinary kitchen sponge, this product remains more hygienic in use. The oval shape and grey colour design suit a modern kitchen look, while the dimensions of 120 x 162 x 17 mm ensure a handy size that sits comfortably in the hand.
What about durability and maintenance?
Silicone is known as a long-lasting material, and that is the starting point here too: you don't need to replace the sponge quickly under normal use. A practical advantage is that this sponge is dishwasher-safe, so you can clean it easily without any scrubbing. This makes maintenance less time-consuming
