This Amsterdam Portrait set gives you exactly the skin tones you need for realistic portraits. Thanks to the high-quality pigments and quick drying time, you can keep working swiftly, and with water everything stays easy to thin and clean.
When do you choose this product?
When should you choose acrylic paint for portraits?
Acrylic paint is ideal for painting portraits because it allows you to create precise colour transitions and natural skin tones. This Amsterdam Portrait set has been specially put together with the colours you need for realistic faces and body parts. You can thin the paint with water for transparent layers or apply it thicker for more opaque areas.
Why a special portrait set?
Instead of buying loose tubes, this set gives you the right colour combination for skin tones and shadows straight away. The six tubes contain exactly the pigments that portrait artists use most. This saves you time mixing colours and ensures consistent results in your work.
Benefit of the short drying time
Acrylic paint dries quickly, so you can keep working without having to wait long between layers of paint. This is handy for portraits, where you often need multiple layers to achieve a realistic skin texture. The medium viscosity ensures the paint flows well but does not run off your canvas.
Practical tips for use
Always keep the plastic tubes tightly closed, as acrylic paint dries out quickly in the air. Use clean water to rinse your brushes between colours, and work from light to dark for the best colour mixing. The high-quality pigments give you intense colours that blend well without becoming muddy.
