With this basic set of Amsterdam acrylic paint, you can mix your own colour palette with ease. The high-quality pigments dry quickly and can be thinned with water, which is handy for any creative project at the office or at home.
When do you choose this product?
What is Amsterdam acrylic paint and when do you use it?
Amsterdam acrylic paint from Royal Talens is a versatile paint that you can thin with water and is suitable for a variety of painting techniques. This acrylic paint dries quickly, so you can keep working on your artwork without long waiting times between layers of paint.
Why choose this basic set of 6 tubes?
This set contains 6 tubes of 20 ml each and is specially put together as a first colour palette for beginning artists. The colours have been chosen so that you can mix them with each other to create a wide range of new shades, allowing you to add plenty of variety to your work with a limited number of tubes.
What makes the consistency special?
The paint has a medium viscosity, meaning the consistency is neither too thick nor too thin. This makes it easy to squeeze the paint out of the tube and simple to work with a brush or palette knife. The high-quality pigments ensure good colour coverage and intensity.
Practical tips for use
Always keep the plastic tubes tightly closed to prevent them from drying out. Because the paint is water-thinnable, you can easily clean your brushes and create different effects by adding more or less water. For watercolour-like effects, add more water; for opaque layers of paint, use the paint more directly from the tube.

Dex knows - user tips
Acrylic paint dries quickly, so close the tubes tightly immediately after use. It contains a substance that can cause a reaction in sensitive skin — if you experience skin or eye reactions, rinse thoroughly with water and stop using it.
