With this pastel paper in 6 dark shades, you add more depth to your work. The fine texture holds pastel chalk and coloured pencil beautifully, and thanks to the acid-free paper your artwork stays beautiful for years.
When do you choose this product?
When should you use artist's paper for pastel work?
Pastel chalk and pastel pencils need a special paper with the right texture to hold the pigments well. This Rembrandt artist's paper has been developed for working with pastel techniques, where the fine grain ensures that your pastel chalk adheres optimally to the paper. You choose this paper when you are seriously engaged in pastel art and want to achieve a professional result.
Why choose dark shades as a base?
This paper is coloured in 6 different dark shades, which offers you many possibilities for your artwork. Dark bases are ideal for pastel techniques because you can use both light and dark pastel shades to create contrast and depth. The coloured background becomes part of your composition and saves you time, as you don't have to colour in the entire surface.
Durability that protects your work
The paper is acid-free and offers optimal resistance to ageing, which means your artworks retain their quality over the years. With a weight of 160 grams per square metre, it is sturdy enough to carry intensive pastel work without tearing or warping. The single-sided gluing ensures that the paper keeps its shape while you work.
Practical tip for the best result
The A4 format with 30 sheets gives you enough room to experiment with different techniques and compositions. Make the most of the fine grain structure by moving your pastel chalk in different directions across the paper. Store unused sheets dry and flat to preserve the quality of the paper.
