For whom are soft pastels suitable?
Soft pastels are ideal for artists who want to create intense colours and soft transitions. They are particularly well suited to landscape paintings, portraits and atmospheric compositions where blurred effects are desired. This medium requires no water or solvents, so you can start drawing straight away.

Why choose a landscape selection box?
This Rembrandt landscape selection box contains a specially composed colour combination that is perfectly tailored to natural scenes. The colour selection has been developed to capture every shade of a landscape, from warm earth tones to cool sky colours. With 90 full-size pastels, you have enough material for extensive projects without having to purchase new colours in between.

What does the wooden box mean for your workflow?
The included wooden box keeps your pastels neatly organised and protected from breakage. Pastels are naturally fragile, so good storage is essential to keep them usable. The box also makes it easy to take your materials to different workspaces, whether you work indoors or outdoors.

Practical tip for use
Make sure you use suitable paper with some texture so the pastels adhere well. After use, return the pastels to their original places in the wooden box to prevent contamination and damage. Work from light to dark for the best colour blending, and use your fingers or special blending tools for soft transitions.
