With this Van Gogh watercolour paint set from Royal Talens you have 24 vibrant, transparent colours at hand in a handy plastic box. The included brush and sponge let you get started straight away.
When do you choose this product?
What does this watercolour paint set do?
Watercolour paint is specially designed to be diluted with water, allowing you to apply transparent layers of colour to paper. The Van Gogh watercolour paint set from Royal Talens suits anyone who wants to paint with watercolours, from beginners who want to learn the technique to hobbyists who paint regularly. The 24 assorted colours give you a broad palette to get started straight away.
Why choose 24 half pans?
This set contains 24 half pans, meaning the paint is already dried into small wells. You activate the paint by going over it with a damp brush, which means little waste and easy use. Because the pans are compact, the set fits neatly into the included plastic box, handy at home but also for taking along.
Transparency and colour intensity
A key feature of this watercolour paint is the combination of transparency and strong colour intensity. Transparent watercolour lets light pass through the colour layer and reflect back off the paper, giving watercolour its characteristic luminosity. This property allows you to paint layers over one another without the work quickly becoming dull or muddy.
What else is in the set?
Alongside the 24 paint pans, the set also includes a size 6 synthetic-hair brush and a sponge. The size 6 brush is a versatile medium size, suitable for both washes and slightly finer details. Use the included sponge to wipe the brush clean in between or to soak up excess water. That way you have everything you need to begin without any extra purchases.
