What does this product do?

The Scotch Aluminium Adhesive Tape is a special repair tape for metal surfaces. You use it when you want to quickly and durably repair damage to gutters, pipes or car bodywork without immediately calling in professional help.

When is this size the right choice?

With a width of 48 mm and a length of 15 metres, you have enough tape for several repair jobs. The 48 mm width is particularly practical for sealing longer seams or cracks on metal surfaces, as you need fewer overlapping layers to create a strong bond.

Honest about the key feature: weather and UV resistance

This tape is resistant to weather and UV radiation, making it suitable for outdoor applications. This means that the adhesive and the aluminium backing material will not break down quickly from exposure to sun or rain. Please keep in mind, however, that the tape is intended for repairs to metal surfaces; for other materials, this product may be less suitable.

Practical tips for use

The tape can be torn by hand, so you don't need any tools to cut the length you want, which is handy in hard-to-reach places such as gutters. The adhesive is solvent-free, which means you won't encounter sharp chemical fumes when applying it. However, when using it, make sure the surface is clean and dry so that the tape adheres optimally.
