When do you choose this product?
What does this outdoor patch cable connector do?
This Cat. 6A connector provides reliable network connections in outdoor environments where ordinary connectors fail. You need this product when you have to make network connections exposed to weather and wind, such as with security cameras, network-controlled outdoor lighting or WiFi access points on terraces and in gardens.
Why IP68 protection is essential
The IP68 rating means this connector is fully waterproof and dustproof, even when submerged. This makes the difference between a working network connection and failure due to moisture ingress. The sturdy Nylon PA 66 material withstands the UV radiation and mechanical stress that outdoor installations are exposed to.
Tool-free connection saves time
The LSA connection principle with gold-plated contacts allows quick installation without special tools. You simply push the cable wires into the connection terminals, which is especially handy at hard-to-reach outdoor locations. The gold-plated contacts prevent corrosion and guarantee stable signal transmission.
Practical installation information
This connector works with cables between 3 and 8 mm in diameter, which covers most standard network cabling. The STP (Shielded Twisted Pair) type offers extra protection against electromagnetic interference. Thanks to its compact size of 110 x 30 x 90 mm, the connector fits in standard outdoor enclosures and can easily be concealed in cable trays or mounted against walls.
