Everything you need to start hand lettering is in this set of 6. The brush pens and fineliner in black and cool grey give you instant nice contrasts, and with the pencil and eraser you can simply correct your mistakes.
When do you choose this product?
What is hand lettering and when do you use this set?
Hand lettering is the art of drawing letters and words in different writing styles. This 6-piece beginners' set from TOMBOW gives you all the essential tools to get started with this creative hobby. You use hand lettering for greeting cards, bullet journals, posters, or simply as a relaxing pastime.
Why is this combination ideal for beginners?
The set contains six different writing tools, each with its own function. You get a DUAL BRUSH PEN in black and cool grey for variation in colour, a MONO twin double-ended fineliner for thin lines, and a special Fudenosuke calligraphy pen with hardness grade 1. This combination lets you try out different techniques without having to buy several separate products.
The MONO-100 pencil with 3H hardness grade
The included MONO-100 pencil has a 3H hardness grade, which means it is relatively hard and produces light, thin lines. This is perfect for sketching your letters before you finish them with the pens. The hard graphite ensures your sketch lines don't become too dark and can be easily erased later.
Practical tip for use
Always begin your lettering with the 3H pencil to sketch guidelines and basic shapes. The included MONO XS eraser helps you remove these preliminary lines. Start with simple letterforms and practise first with the Fudenosuke calligraphy pen before moving on to the more flexible DUAL BRUSH PEN for advanced techniques.
