Easily connect your old Centronics printer or terminal to a modern RS232 port. Ready to go with a 2 m cable and two mini gender adapters, so you can get started straight away without hassle.
When do you choose this product?
What does this interface converter do?
This W&T interface converter allows you to connect devices with an RS232 port to printers that have a Centronics port. According to the manufacturer, it is intended for connecting parallel printers to measuring equipment, terminals, telephone systems and mid-range data technology.
Why this version with a 2 metre cable?
The converter has a 2 metre connection cable that is permanently attached to the device. This means you don't need a separate cable to connect to the RS232 port.
Direct connection to your printer
The converter has a 36-pin Centronics plug and can therefore be connected directly to the printer, without a separate cable between converter and printer. The mechanical design is that of a standard printer cable.
Compatibility with different ports
The converter has a 9-pin SUB-D socket that is ready for connection to your PC. In addition, two mini gender adapters are included in the package, allowing you to also connect to 25-pin COM ports or Terminal AUX ports.
