What does this charger do and when do you need it?

The ANSMANN Home Charger is a compact wall charger that plugs directly into a power socket. You need it when you want to charge several devices at the same time from a single point, without fiddling with loose cables or multiple adapters. The device delivers a total output of 54 Watts, split between a USB-A and a USB-C port.

Why is this variant the right choice for Apple Watch users?

The Home Charger stands out because it has a fold-out, wireless charging section designed specifically for the Apple Watch. You don't need to bring or look for a separate charging cable for your watch: it's built into the adapter. This makes this charger particularly handy if you want a fixed, combined charging spot for your iPhone and Apple Watch at home or while travelling.

An honest look at the integrated USB-C cable

The charger has a built-in USB-C charging cable with a semi-automatic cable retraction mechanism. This means you can partially retract the cable automatically after use, which makes tidying up easier. This is useful on a desk or bedside table where you don't want to see a loose, dangling cable. Do note that for USB-A you still need your own cable, as one is not included.

Practical tip on plug type and dimensions

The Home Charger is fitted with a Euro plug and therefore fits standard Dutch and European power sockets. The housing measures 53 x 96.3 x 53 mm, which makes it relatively compact for a charger with so many built-in features. Check in advance whether your socket has enough room next to any other plugs, given the depth of almost 10 centimetres.
