This sturdy metal spade cuts effortlessly through turf and roots, thanks to its sharp, pointed blade. The footplate helps you apply extra force when digging into hard ground, and the D-handle provides a comfortable grip while you work.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need a professional metal spade?
This BRÜDER MANNESMANN spade is specially designed for cutting out turf and cutting through roots. You choose this tool when you have garden work where ordinary spades fall short, such as laying out borders, moving plants or digging in compacted soil.
Why this length and construction?
With its total length of 118 cm, this spade provides the right leverage for heavy digging without overstraining your back. The metal shaft provides the sturdiness needed when cutting through stubborn roots, while the plastic D-grip ensures a comfortable grip during prolonged use.
Powerful performance through clever design
The spade blade, measuring 285 x 200 mm, has a pointed shape with a sharp cutting edge, specifically for cutting through roots and lifting turf. The black powder coating protects the metal against rust and wear. The footstep on the blade allows you to apply extra force with your foot when digging in hard soil.
Practical tip for optimal use
This type of spade works best when used with a kicking motion, using the footstep. When cutting out turf, keep the spade as vertical as possible to make clean cuts. Thanks to the sturdy metal construction, you can also use this spade to chop through medium-sized roots without damaging the tool.
