When do you choose this product?
For layouts, sketches and illustrations
COPIC Ciao markers are professional drawing tools for creating layouts, sketches and illustrations. This starter set is ideal if you want to discover what alcohol-based markers can do, or if you need a limited colour selection for specific projects.
The three colours in this set
This set contains three colours: E-43 (Dull Ivory), C-1 (Cool Gray No. 1) and R-00 (Pinkish White). These neutral shades form a good basis for a range of drawing work. The colours combine well with one another.
Dual tip for versatile use
Each marker has two different tips: a medium tip for details and areas of colour, and a brush tip for broad strokes and colour blends. The alcohol-based ink dries quickly and is blendable, so you can create smooth colour transitions by letting colours flow into one another while they are still wet.
Suitable sketch pad included
The set comes with an A5 sketch pad specially designed for use with markers. This paper prevents the alcohol-based ink from bleeding through to other sheets and ensures the colours are shown to their best advantage. The A5 format is handy for sketches and studies on the go.

Dex knows - user tips
Let the markers run across a separate sheet of paper before you start — this prevents hard first strokes on your drawing. Preferably use them in a well-ventilated room, as the alcohol base gives off a distinct smell.
