Switch effortlessly between two dual-display computer systems with one keyboard and mouse. You enjoy sharp 4K images and connect your audio at the same time, without messy cables on your desk.
When do you choose this product?
What does this KVM switch do?
A KVM switch allows you to control two computers with a single set of peripherals. You can switch between computers without having to constantly plug and unplug cables. This DIGITUS switch is specially designed for dual display setups, allowing you to connect two monitors per computer.
Why choose this dual display model?
This 2-port switch offers 4x HDMI inputs (2x2 configuration), so each connected computer can use two monitors. You also get 2x HDMI outputs to your monitors. This is ideal if you work with multiple computers that each require a dual monitor setup, for example for design work or productivity.
4K support with realistic performance
The switch supports UHD resolution up to 4K at 30 Hz (3840x2160p) with YUV 4:4:4 subsampling. This means you can use modern 4K monitors, but bear in mind the 30 Hz refresh rate. For office work and productivity this is sufficient, but for gaming or video editing, where higher refresh rates are desired, it may be limiting.
Practical connection and operation
In addition to the HDMI ports, the switch has 2x USB B inputs for computers and 2x USB A outputs for mouse and keyboard. Audio is also supported via 3.5 mm jack connections for both microphone and speaker. With dimensions of 132 x 92 x 66 mm and a weight of 575 grams, the device easily fits on your desk without taking up much space.
