With these three flat brushes in different sizes, you're ready for any painting technique. The polyester bristles work excellently with oil, acrylic and gouache paints, perfect for both details and large areas.
When do you choose this product?
What do flat brushes do in different painting techniques?
Flat brushes are indispensable for artists who want to experiment with different types of paint. These ArtCreation brushes are specially developed for oil paint, acrylic paint and gouache, so with one brush set you can try out a variety of techniques. The flat shape gives you control over broad strokes and sharp lines.
Why these three sizes are ideal for beginners
This set contains brushes in sizes 4, 8 and 16, which form a logical progression from fine to broad. With size 4 you work out details, size 8 is perfect for medium-sized areas, and size 16 you use for large surfaces and backgrounds. This combination covers the most commonly used sizes for both detail and area work.
How polyester bristles perform in practice
The polyester bristles offer a good balance between stiffness and flexibility. They hold their shape well while painting and are resistant to the various solvents used in oil, acrylic and gouache paints. Polyester is also easier to clean than natural hair and lasts longer with regular use.
Practical tip for maintenance and use
Clean the brushes immediately after use with the right cleaner for your type of paint: water for acrylic and gouache, turpentine or white spirit for oil paint. The wooden handle sits comfortably in the hand and gives you sufficient control. Store the brushes lying flat or hang them with the bristles pointing downwards to prevent deformation.
