What does this paint roller do, and when do you need it?

The WESTEX Extra-Reach Roller is a wide paint roller designed for painting large surfaces, such as walls and ceilings. Thanks to its 250 mm width, you cover a larger area per stroke than with a standard roller, which significantly reduces your working time. This makes it suitable if you want to paint a room efficiently without endlessly rolling back and forth.

Why this size is the right choice

With a roller width of 250 mm, you sit between a regular household roller and a professional extra-wide roller. This makes the roller versatile: it's large enough for substantial wall areas, yet still easy to handle in corners and along edges. The core has a diameter of 44 mm, which fits standard roller holders in this segment.

The telescopic handle as a key feature

The built-in telescopic handle is adjustable between 440 and 900 mm. This lets you reach higher sections of the wall or a low ceiling without immediately needing a ladder. The fibre blend of polyester and acrylic, with a pile height of 18 mm and a pad thickness of 4 mm, ensures the roller takes up enough paint and releases it evenly.

Practical tip: use the included paint grid

A paint grid measuring 300 x 260 mm is included with this roller. Use it to remove excess paint from the roller before you continue, which prevents drips and gives a more even result. When cleaning, be sure to rinse the polyester/acrylic fibres thoroughly so the roller lasts for multiple painting sessions.
