What are security labels and when do you use them?
Security labels are special labels you use when you want to protect documents, products or equipment against unauthorised access. These AVERY labels are made of polyester and, when removed, leave a characteristic chequerboard pattern on the surface underneath. This means you can see immediately whether someone has tried to remove the label.

Why choose this size of 45.7 × 21.2 mm?
This compact size is ideal for smaller objects where you want to discreetly but effectively indicate that something is protected. The dimensions make these labels suitable for laptops, tablets, small devices or documents where you don't want to take up too much space. You can still fit important information on them, but they don't stand out unnecessarily.

How does the security feature work in practice?
The polyester construction ensures that, when removed, the label leaves an indelible chequerboard pattern on the surface. This means that attempts at tampering always remain visible, even if the label is removed completely. It is an honest warning: this protection works only once and is no longer usable after someone has tried to remove it.

Practical applications
With 960 labels spread across 20 A4 sheets, you get 48 labels per sheet. This makes it easy to protect large numbers of items at once. The A4 layout means the labels are compatible with standard laser and inkjet printers, so you can easily personalise them with serial numbers, warning texts or company logos before applying them.
