What are pencil leads and when do you need them?
Pencil leads are replacement refills for propelling pencils and mechanical pencils. You need them when your leads run out or break while writing or drawing. These BIC leads ensure your propelling pencil functions optimally again, without having to buy an entirely new pencil.

Why choose a 0.7 mm diameter?
The 0.7 mm diameter is ideal for everyday writing and general drawing purposes. This size offers a good balance between fine lines and lead durability. The 0.7 mm lead breaks less easily than thinner variants and still provides sufficient precision for most writing and drawing tasks.

HB hardness for versatile use
These leads have HB hardness, meaning they offer a neutral balance between hard and soft. HB leads produce a medium grey tone and are suitable for both writing and light shading. They wear down evenly and are easy to erase without leaving stubborn marks.

Practical packaging and compatibility
The 12 leads come in a handy tube dispenser that you can easily store and take with you. Before ordering, check whether your propelling pencil is suitable for 0.7 mm leads, as not all mechanical pencils accept the same size. The case helps you keep the leads neatly organised and prevents them from breaking during transport.
