When do you need this watercolour sketchbook?
This Canson ART BOOK Montval sketchbook has been specially developed for watercolour techniques and wet media. The 300 g/m² watercolour paper is suitable when you want to work with watercolour paint, ink or other liquid materials without the paper becoming waterlogged or tearing. The fine-grained texture gives you the right grip for your paint and creates natural effects in your work.

Why choose this square 200×200 mm format?
The compact square format of 200×200 mm makes this sketchbook ideal for studies, colour swatches and experimental work on the go. You can easily carry it in your bag without it taking up much space. The square canvas pushes you towards a different composition than rectangular formats and stimulates creative thinking within a balanced shape.

Practical benefits of the spiral binding and hardcover
The double spiral along the short side means you can lay the book completely flat or fold it back while drawing. This prevents annoying creases in your paper and gives you full access to the working surface. The hardcover offers sturdy support, even when you are not seated at a table, and the elastic strap keeps everything neatly closed during transport.

Paper that allows corrections
The watercolour paper is correction-friendly, which means you can correct mistakes and lift layers without damaging the paper. Thanks to the fungicide treatment, the paper stays in good condition for a long time and is acid-free, so your work will not yellow over time. With 24 sheets, you have plenty of room for a complete series of studies or a project.
