When do you use textured drawing paper?
Textured drawing paper is specially developed for dry drawing techniques such as charcoal, pastel, chalk and pencil. The lightly structured surface helps these materials adhere better to the paper and gives you more control over shadows and texture effects. You choose this type of paper when you are working on artistic projects in which you want to create depth and dimension.

Why this A4 size with 12 sheets?
The A4 size offers enough space for both studies and smaller finished works, without having to buy large quantities of paper straight away. With 12 sheets you get enough material to try out different techniques or to make a series of sketches. This makes it a practical choice for beginners who want to experiment, or for experienced artists who want to try a new technique.

The benefit of 224 g/m² paper weight
With a weight of 224 g/m², this paper has a sturdy structure that does not easily tear or crease while you draw. The paper is thick enough to carry several layers of material without showing through, yet remains flexible enough for various drawing movements. This thickness also prevents your drawing from showing through to the back.

Keep your paper dry and flat
Store unused paper in a dry place, preferably lying flat or in a drawing portfolio. CANSON paper can absorb moisture from the air, which may cause it to curl. By keeping the paper flat, you preserve the optimal drawing surface and prevent your drawings from warping while you work.
