When do you need a watercolour pad?
A watercolour pad is indispensable when you want to work with watercolour paint, ecoline, ink or other wet techniques. The special paper is designed to absorb moisture well without tearing or cockling, allowing you to create beautiful colour gradations and effects. This Canson Montval pad is suitable for every wet technique you can think of.

Why choose this handy Story format?
The compact size of 160×284 mm makes this pad ideal for sketching on the go, making studies or creating smaller artworks. The spiral binding allows you to easily turn over to a new sheet and lay the pad flat while you work. With 12 sheets, you have enough paper for a series of experiments or studies.

The benefit of 300 gram paper with a fine texture
This watercolour paper weighs 300 grams, which means it is sturdy enough to handle water well without becoming saturated. The fine surface texture gives you control over your brushstrokes and ensures an even distribution of colour. The paper absorbs just enough moisture to make beautiful effects possible.

Practical tip for use
Thanks to the micro-perforation, you can tear each sheet neatly out of the pad without ragged edges. This is handy when you want to frame your work or edit it further. Always start with the least wet part of your painting and work towards the wettest areas; this way you prevent colours from unintentionally bleeding into one another.
