This sturdy sketchbook goes everywhere with you and offers space for both wet and dry techniques. The hardcover protects your work, while the double spiral ensures the book opens completely flat.
When do you choose this product?
When do you need a mixed media sketchbook?
You use a mixed media sketchbook when you want to experiment with different drawing and painting techniques in one book. The CANSON XL mixed media sketchbook is suitable for both wet and dry techniques, so you can switch between pencil, felt-tip pen, watercolour and acrylic paint without having to change books.
Why choose A5 format with a hardcover?
The A5 format (148 x 210 mm) offers enough space for detailed sketches while the book remains compact enough to take with you. The hardcover protects your work on the go and provides stability while drawing. With 60 sheets, you have plenty of paper for a long-term project or several smaller works.
What does 160 g/m² lightly textured paper mean?
The paper weight of 160 g/m² ensures the paper is sturdy enough for wet techniques without the paint bleeding through to the back. The light texture gives grip to dry materials such as pencil and charcoal, while remaining smooth enough for detailed work. The acid-free paper prevents discolouration and yellowing over time.
Practical tip for use
The double spiral along the long side allows the book to lie completely flat when open, or to be folded back. This means you can work comfortably without the book snapping shut while you draw. Do keep in mind that with wet techniques, you should wait until the paint is dry before closing the book.
