This is why Dex likes this article
This deep black study pad from Canson makes your creations with pencil, felt-tip and colouring pencil come alive. The smooth, acid-free 120 gsm sheets are glued along the short edge, so you can effortlessly tear off sheet after sheet without damaging your sketches.
When do you choose this product?
What does this product do?
This black sketchbook has been specially developed for artists who want to experiment with light drawing materials on a dark surface. Use it when you want to draw with pencil, fineliner, graphite pencil, coloured pencil and acrylic marker to create contrast effects that are not possible on white paper.
Why choose this A4 format?
The A4 format gives you enough space for detailed studies and sketches without the pad becoming unwieldy. With 20 sheets you have enough material for a series of experiments or a complete study, while the pad remains compact enough to take to drawing classes or outdoor locations.
Why the smooth surface matters
The smooth 120 g/m² surface ensures that drawing materials adhere well and produce beautiful opaque lines. The heavier paper weight prevents the paper from curling or tearing while you draw.
Practical features for long-term use
The pad is glued along the short edge, so you can easily tear off sheet by sheet without damaging the underlying paper. The acid-free paper without optical brighteners means your artworks will not discolour over time. Store the pad flat and dry to preserve the quality of the black surface.
