When do you choose this product?
When do you need a watercolour sketchbook?
Use a watercolour sketchbook when you want to work with watercolour paint and need paper that can absorb moisture without tearing or warping. This CANSON sketchbook is specially developed for watercolour techniques and provides the right surface for watercolour paint, allowing water and pigment to blend in the way you want.
Why A5 format with a hardcover?
The A5 format (148 x 210 mm) gives you enough space for detailed sketches, yet remains compact enough to take with you. The hardcover provides sturdy support while you draw, which is especially important with watercolours because you sometimes need to apply a little more pressure. The spiral binding along the long side allows the book to be opened fully flat.
What does 300 g/m² watercolour paper mean?
The paper weight of 300 g/m² is heavy enough to hold multiple layers of watercolour without the paper curling or becoming soggy. The finely grained surface creates the right texture, so watercolour paint flows and blends beautifully. The acid-free paper means your work will not discolour over time.
Practical benefits during use
The correctable paper lets you make small adjustments without damaging the paper surface. With 34 sheets, you have plenty of room for various experiments and studies. The spiral binding makes it easy to turn pages, and the book lies flat and stable while you work.
