When do you need a professional sketchbook?
This Canson sketchbook is ideal when you regularly draw with dry drawing media such as pencil, charcoal, chalk, sanguine or pastel. The rough, slightly cream-coloured, high-volume paper has been specially developed for these techniques and provides optimal grip and texture when drawing.

Why choose the A2 format with a spiral binding?
The large A2 format gives you plenty of room for extensive sketches and detailed drawings. The spiral-bound version has a very stable back, so you can use the book steadily without a surface beneath it. You can fold pages completely over or fold the book back on itself for comfortable drawing.

The benefits of 90 g/m² drawing paper
The paper weight of 90 g/m² strikes the right balance between sturdiness and flexibility. This weight prevents the paper from tearing under heavy use of charcoal or pastel, while remaining supple enough for detailed pencil work. The high volume of the paper adds extra texture that holds dry drawing media well.

Practical tip for optimal use
With 60 sheets you have enough pages for a long drawing period. The rough paper surface works best with soft pencils (2B to 6B), charcoal and pastel chalk. For fine details you can use harder pencils, but avoid pressing too hard so as not to damage the paper. Store the sketchbook flat to prevent the pages from creasing.
