When do you need a new ballpoint refill?
If your Caran d'Ache 849 rollerball is empty, you don't need to throw away the whole pen. With the right refill, you can keep writing for months. This is both more sustainable and more economical than constantly buying new pens.

Why choose specifically the Goliath refill?
This Goliath refill has been specially developed for the Caran d'Ache 849 ballpoint pen and doesn't fit any other. Thanks to the unique design of this refill, you get a longer writing life than with standard refills. So you're investing in a refill that lasts longer.

What does nib width B mean for your writing?
The B classification stands for a medium line width that is suitable for daily use. This width ensures clearly legible text without having to apply too much pressure. The blue ink is professional enough for business documents and personal notes.

Practical tip for replacing it
Always check that your pen has model number 849 before ordering, as this refill fits only that specific model. Replacing it is simple: unscrew the pen, remove the empty refill and click the new Goliath refill into place. You'll recognise the right fit because the refill slides into the pen without forcing.
