When do you use a ballpoint refill?
You replace a ballpoint refill when your current pen has run out of ink but the writing instrument itself is still in perfect condition. This is especially useful for quality pens you want to enjoy for a long time. Instead of throwing away the entire pen, you simply insert a new refill.

Why this specific Goliath refill?
This Caran d'Ache Goliath refill has been specially developed for the 849 ballpoint pens from this Swiss brand. The medium tip width gives you a comfortable writing width that is suitable for daily use. You get a consistent red ink flow that is clearly legible on paper.

What does the medium tip width mean?
The medium (M) tip width produces a writing line that is neither too thin nor too thick. This makes the refill versatile: you can use it to write longer texts as well as short notes. The red ink colour stands out well and is practical for corrections, comments or marking important points.

Please check compatibility
This refill fits only Caran d'Ache 849 ballpoint pens, including the 849 POPLINE variant. Therefore, always check the model number of your ballpoint pen before ordering. Other ballpoint pen brands or models often have different refill formats that are not interchangeable with this Goliath refill.
