What does a ballpoint refill do and when should you replace it?
A ballpoint refill is the heart of your ballpoint pen and controls the ink flow while you write. You need a new refill when your current pen stops giving ink or writes irregularly. This Goliath refill from CARAN D'ACHE offers a reliable writing experience for everyday use.

Why choose this specific refill?
This refill has been specially developed for the CARAN D'ACHE Druckkugelschreiber 849 series. Thanks to the perfect fit, you get optimal writing performance without the refill wobbling or getting stuck in the mechanism. The line width M (medium) gives you a good balance between fine and thick lines.

What does line width M mean?
The M variant stands for medium line thickness, which is ideal for general writing such as notes, signatures and filling in forms. This thickness is not too thin, so your text stays easy to read, but not so thick that it would be awkward for detailed work. The black ink colour provides contrast on white paper.

Checking compatibility
This Goliath refill only fits CARAN D'ACHE Druckkugelschreiber 849 pens. Check the model number of your pen before you order, as other ballpoint pens from the brand may use a different refill size. If in doubt, remove the old refill and compare it with the product photo.
